Thank you all very much for weighing in on my poll! I've decided to keep the new background, but I have lightened it up somewhat so that it's not distracting from the content as much as the original version was. I appreciate all the input :-)

I like the new background for your blog.......may need to be lightened up just a tad......appears a bit too dark. I do love the design and texture. Change is good!

Thank you for your suggestions, LuAnn! I agree with you that it is too dark. It seems to fight with the post content for attention, and that was not my intent :-)

Since I didn't see the old one I'm not sure but this one is nice. Like you said a bit dark but still nice.
The only thing, when I bring it up the date says December 4th and it's just December 1st.

Thanks Julie! It says Dec 4 because that's the only way to make it a "sticky" post in Blogger...you have to post it and then go in and edit the date to a future date.
