My TAST quilt

To take advantage of what I learned a few weeks ago about using Inktense Pencils, I decided to finish up the quilt that I've been embellishing with embroidery stitches as I followed along with Sharon Boggon's Take A Stitch Tuesday challenge (TAST).  Unfortunately, I was not able to complete the challenge, but I'm really happy that I joined in for at least part of it!  No regrets.

Here's the background on it:

 Border decorated with Inktense pencils

 Backed with fabric and trimmed

Buttons sewn through all layers

 Edges stitched with blanket stitch

Finished

Lovely! Sometimes a group challenge is just what we need to pull ourselves into the creating mode. Even if we never finish in the allotted time, the starting and the completing is what is important, and considering what you have been up to recently, you have been working overtime, lol!
This is a gorgeous piece, and you must be very proud of it!

Thanks so much! I wish I'd been able to add a bit more, but I'm going to just need to be satisfied with what it is :-)
You've been on quite the roll lately Cyndi... all sorts of amazingly creative stuff! I love the colors in this, it's beautiful!
It's lovely, Cyndi. Your stitch work is always perfect. It adds so much to the piece.

I love entering challenges too. They're very motivating - even if I don't finish an assignment.

The blanket stitch looks great around it.

I agree about the challenges. Sometimes I need one to give me a kick in the you know what to do something new.
