Alisa Golden has always been one of my favorite teachers when it comes to book arts. She explains the steps very clearly, shows you lots of variations on a theme, and liberally scatters pictures of beautiful examples of handmade books, both her own and others'. Her current book, Making Handmade Books , was originally published as two separate books in 1998 and 2001: Creating Handmade Books and Unique Handmade Books . If you have these volumes, you might want to pass on this one, although it's got some beautiful new artwork in it and quotes by many new book artists.
