Book review: Make Your Mark

One of the simplest ways to add a unique decorative touch to everyday items is to hit 'em with a couple of markers!  Of course, you want to make sure you choose the right marker for the job, and if you're a bit timid, you might also appreciate a few ideas and maybe even some templates...

Search no further!  Lark Books has published Make Your Mark, with all the insight and guidance you could ever need to start marking up everything in sight, using markers, paint pens, and even bleach pens!  It's cute: the designs are non-intimidating and cheerful.  You could easily let this new obsession get out of hand, but I'm going to leave that up to your own discretion and self-control.

I would love to add this book to my library. helenlystrastudio@yahoo.com
You know, I love the idea of doing this, but I have to admit, I have had very, VERY mixed, and sometimes disastrous, results. When it works, it's great fun though, and such a wonderful way to personalize things!

I'm always looking for new art techniques! I have a ton of markers that I hardly ever use. This book will help me to get them out of the drawer and onto the paper!
