Vacations and skeletons

Hi, I'm back from vacay. It wasn't the slightest bit relaxing, but I came home with hundreds of pictures for source material ~ both for my digital photography and collage work and for beading! Mike and Dani and I flew into Washington DC, and then rented a car to drive down to visit Mike's parents in southern VA a couple days later.

We were able to go to the Hirshorn Gallery in the morning, the Renwick Gallery in early afternoon, and then hit the Museum of Natural Science late afternoon after an energizing lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. I was able to get some pretty good shots in the last museum, even without flash.

Since I've gotten back, I've been pretty absorbed in working on a couple of digital series. Beads have been on the back burner, but I've got a couple ideas that are surfacing for the near future. I'm working on a series of small art quilts that use the fish fossils that I shot. I'm sure the quilts will use beads somewhere :-)
