Not my dh and I, but our son, Nate. He is heading off to Guatemala tomorrow morning for the rest of the summer. He's volunteering at an orphanage, where he went last year for a ten-day stint. When he came back, he declared that ten days just wasn't long enough to get anything significant accomplished.
Mike and I are taking him to the airport tomorrow morning. In over 19 years, we've never been apart for longer than 10 days at a time. A week of camp here and there, but not months...and the distance! His little sister is taking it harder than we are, because she will be leaving for college before he gets back.
I know, I know. We'll get over it!
